Cancelation & No-Show Policy
At Village Animal Hospital we understand that sometimes you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. However, when you do not call-in advance to cancel your appointment you may be preventing another pet from getting much needed treatment.
Cancellation of an Appointment: In order to be respectful of the medical needs of other patients, please be courteous and call our office promptly if you are unable to show up for an appointment. If it is necessary to cancel your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are in high demand, and your early cancellation will allow another patient access to timely veterinary care.
No Show Appointment: A “no show” is a client who misses an appointment without cancelling it. A failure to be present at the time of a scheduled appointment will be recorded in the patient’s chart as a “no show”.
Late For An Appointment: If you and your pet arrive 10 minutes or more after your scheduled appointment time you may be asked to reschedule your pet’s appointment to a different day.
Repeat violations of these policies may result in consequences put forth by management, at their discretion. This includes a possible deposit paid to schedule future appointments.
As a courtesy to all of our clients we provide reminder calls, emails and/or text messages (based on your preference) leading up to your appointment. Even if you are unable to be reached through any of your preferred means of communications, this policy remains in effect.
